In a role that involves a great deal of customer contact, you’ll ensure your resort runs as smoothly as possible. To succeed, you ’ll need to combine a friendly, outgoing and highly communicative approach with plenty of initiative and, ideally, a background in customer service or sales. In some resorts we look to our representatives to provide a ski escorting service. For this, you’ll need at least 10 weeks ’skiing or snowboarding experience, and confidence on all types of terrain. Walking Guides are responsible for setting up walking programmes for our customers, which include full and half day walks, two or three times per week. Applicants need to be experienced, keen walkers with the ability to be informative and offer local knowledge. Not least, we expect our European Reps to speak French, German, Italian or Spanish to a good conversational level.
Specialist Sun Representatives (summer)
Providing the highest level of customer service in resort and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable holiday. The level of guest contact requires Representatives to have detailed local knowledge and a passion for both travel and the local culture. Due to the remoteness of the customers accomodation all Representatives must hold a current, clean driving licence and be fluent in either French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or Greek.
Chalet Hosts (winter/ summer)
You ’ll take sole responsibility for one of our chalets –or work in a larger property as part of a team. There are even opportunities for couples or friends to run our larger chalets. Whichever, it ’ll be your role to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. In addition to cooking, chalet staff are responsible for the daily cleaning and housekeeping duties, shopping, stock control, budgeting and hosting. Naturally, you ’re friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic. However, if you ’d like to brush up on your cookery skills, we can enrol you on a course that will boost your confidence.
Chalet Chefs (winter/ summer)
Working within our larger chalets (up to 35 guests) as part of a team, you ’ll run an efficient, organised kitchen –not only by cooking, but also through menu design, stock control, budgeting and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene. To be considered, you ’ll need a flexible and adaptable approach, and good customer-facing skills.
Hotel Managers/Assistant Managers (winter/ summer)
Based in our Club Hotels, you ’ll draw on your strong hospitality background to keep things running smoothly and efficiently within an agreed budget. You ’re responsible, approachable and diplomatic – and you have plenty of initiative. You will be responsible for staff motivation and retention, overseeing stock control, administration and accounts. Ideally, you also have a working knowledge of the local language, plus sound IT skills.
Hotel Hosts/ Villa Assistants (winter/summer)
Hotel Hosts fulfil a variety of roles within our Club Hotels, from keeping bedrooms and communal areas clean and tidy to serving meals and in some properties running the in-house bar. . To join us, you ’ll need to be a hard-working, flexible team player who has a commitment to providing the best possible service. Demonstrate relevant experience and leadership qualities, and you could succeed as a Housekeeper, Restaurant Supervisor or Receptionist. . As a Receptionist, you ’ll be at an advantage with conversational French or Italian.
Villa Assistants are responsible for the daily cleaning of the private villas. The Villa Assistants work in teams where good attention to detail, self motivation and enthusiasm are essential.
Club Hotel Chefs (winter/ summer)
Our Chefs provide breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal. We ’re looking for experienced Head Chefs to supervise a kitchen team, design menus, organise staff rotas and look after budgeting and Health & Safety. We ’re also looking for qualified and newly qualified Chefs who want to build on their confidence and experience. Join us, and you ’ll find the structure and flexibility of our menus will see you work in different areas of the kitchen, and so develop your culinary interests and flair. To be considered, you should hold 706/1 and 706/2 or their equivalent.
Kitchen Porter/Night Porter (winter/ summer)
This is a combined role in which you will work on a rota basis. As Kitchen Porter, you ’ll assist Chefs with food preparation, cleaning, stock rotation and washing up. As a Night Porter, you ’ll complete regular security and fire checks, in addition to cleaning public areas and helping to set up breakfast. We ’re sorry, but because of local legislation we can only consider men for this role.
Maintenance Staff/ Handymen (winter/ summer)
Qualified trades people and competent DIY enthusiasts who are good ‘all rounders’, work throughout the programme (particularly in France) during the summer months to renovate and refurbish the chalet and club hotels and to provide an in-resort maintenance service during the summer and winter seasons. Work will include plumbing, electrics, painting, carpentry etc. Working as part of a team, the maintenance staff are mobile and must hold a clean, current driving licence as you often travel from resort to resort. While not essential, you ’ll be at an advantage with your own transport and tools.
Nannies & Family Nannies (winter/ summer)
To be a Nanny, you ’ll need an NNEB, BTEC or NVQ level 3 in Childcare, a Diploma in Nursery Nursing or an equivalent UK qualification. Our nannies work in well equipped resort crèches and clubs, looking after children from 6 months to 12 years. We provide a varied activity programme 6 days a week –plus one night ’s free babysitting.
Family Nannies work with families staying in private villas for a specified period. These positions are ideal for those nannies only wishing to go overseas for a short period.
Whizz Kids Leaders/ Arctic Rangers (winter)
As a Leader you will look after children from 4 to 10 years old. and will manage our full and half-day activity programmes, which include lunch and lunchtime supervision, plus a drop off/pick up service from ski school and activities three evenings per week. To succeed, you ’ll need proven experience of working with children, combined with lots of energy, a good imagination and creativity. Qualifications are not essential.
Office Staff (winter/ summer)
We have occasional vacancies for general administrative and accounts-based staff to join us at our overseas offices –including Qualified Accountants and people with a financial/accounts background who have good PC and telephone skills. We also need General Office staff with strong customer service skills to deal with customers and resort staff on an everyday basis.
